If you catch the trailer for season 2 of Handmaid’s Tale, one thing is immediately apparent, Gilead is truly hell on earth. The trailer for the upcoming season offers us a hint that life for Offred, played by the amazing Elisabeth Moss, and her fellow “sisters” is going to get a whole lot worse. Unimagineable, but true.

The first teaser for the Emmy winning show’s second series hints at a dark and foreboding future for Offred and the resistance in the Republic of Gilead

In the season 2 trailer, Offred is shown gagged, her punishment for an attempted and failed escape, while her friend Moira, the equally amazing Samira Wiley, is shown trying to adapt to a new life in Canada, after a death defying, yet successful escape form Gilead.

With the same award-winning team of writers, director and explosive cast on board, season 2 of Handmaid’s Tale should be totally spellbinding.

Its success with “The Handmaid’s Tale” has bolstered Hulu’s reputation with content makers.

As a result, Hulu also announced Sunday that it is partnering with George Clooney on an adaptation of Joseph Heller’s novel Catch-22.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” is a landmark program for relatively new Hulu, drawing critical acclaim, an armload of 2017
Emmys and, earlier this month, a best series Golden Globe and best-actress trophy for Moss. Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei guest stars in episode two, the producers said.

The new season is set to roll out April 25th, on Hulu… and we can’t wait! Season 2 will kick off with two new episodes on the 25th and then will follow with new ones every Wednesday on Hulu. Elizabeth Moss said she thinks the second season will be even darker than the first.
